Mostly dull weather can be expected across the West for the next several days. This may be seen as a relief by those who have suffered through weeks of unbelievable heat. There are a few indications that an unseasonably deep cutoff low may impact Norcal by the end of the week. This would bring very cool temps, a deep and drizzly marine layer, and possibly some isolated showers/tstms if instability is great enough. Elsewhere…a few PM tstms over the interior Rockies, otherwise dry. Tropical Storm Gilma in the Eastern Pacific will turn NW, probably not impacting any land masses in the process. Will watch to see how far north its remnant moisture makes it, however.
